Senate Guard

Overview

The Senate Guard is an enforcement battalion of humans focused on the protection of the Galactic Senate, including but not limited to the Senate District and members of the Senate. The main force is stationed on Coruscant, however will deploy wherever they are requested by members of the Senate. The Senate Guard has been described as a formidable force that are trained to do anything to ensure the security of democracy.

History

The Senate Guard was founded alongside the Galactic Senate in 25,000 BTR, residing within the Senate Rotunda on the established capital world of Coruscant. While the Galactic Senate served as a symbol of order in the early years of the Galactic Republic, the Senate Guard were viewed as symbols of both peace and security.

While also operating as a secondary police force, the Senate Guard were known to often collaborate with the 401st Legion alongside other Coruscant Security Forces.

Structure

Main Company

The Main Company was the primary guardsmen sub-unit of the Senate Guard responsible for the general security of the Senate District and members alike.

Led by Jedi Knight Tala Vosk, alongside Captain Vault and various officers, their arsenal consisted of the standard issue weaponry alongside the Mk-II Paladin rifle.

Honor Guard

The Honor Guard was the ceremonial guardsmen sub-unit of the Senate Guard responsible for maintaining ceremonial posts and protection of Senate members. 

Led by Jedi Knight Favi Ki, alongside Captain Valkores and various officers, their arsenal consisted of the standard issue weaponry alongside the Mk-II Paladin rifle, V-38X rifle and Electrostaff.

Senate Commandos

The Senate Commandos was the quick reaction force sub-unit of the Senate Guard responsible for the escorting of Senate members and deployment during high-risk scenarios. 

Led by Jedi Knight Ang Zapal, alongside Captain Starboard and various officers, their arsenal consisted of the standard issue weaponry alongside the Mk-II Paladin rifle, Blast Shields, Thermal Detonators and the RPS-6, Z-6, and DP-23 for ranks Corporal and above.

The Senate Guard strike fear into the hearts of all who seek to eradicate democracy.
