Overview

Arlong Hoshigaki is the current Seventh Mizukage of Kirigakure. Prior to becoming Mizukage, he served as the village’s Assistant, Clan Head of the Hoshigaki Clan, and a Seven Ninja Swordsman through his ownership of Hiramekarei. Throughout his career, Arlong has earned a reputation as one of Kirigakure’s strongest and most dependable shinobi, accumulating over 400 confirmed kills while leading from the front in countless missions and battles.

Abilities and Tools

Hiramekarei Mastery – Arlong claimed Hiramekarei after defeating another shinobi competing for ownership of the blade. Since then, he has spent years mastering the weapon, eventually making it a natural extension of his fighting style.

Hiramekarei Exertion – After mastering advanced chakra control over Hiramekarei, Arlong developed Hiramekarei Exertion, a state that surrounds him in blue-black chakra and greatly enhances his speed, durability, chakra reserves, and overall combat ability.

Chakra Flow – Through years of dedicated training with Hiramekarei, Arlong can flow his chakra into his blade, allowing him to precisely channel, manipulate, and release chakra through the blade at will. 

Blood Mist Duality – Arlong successfully underwent the Blood Mist Duality experiment, awakening its abilities and further increasing his combat capabilities.

Combat Prowess – With more than 400 confirmed kills, decades of combat experience, and service as a Seven Ninja Swordsman, Assistant, Clan Head, and eventually Mizukage, Arlong is regarded as one of Kirigakure’s most accomplished shinobi.

Hoshigaki Physiology - Arlong, like other Hoshigaki, can swim faster than others in water, breathe underwater, and regenerate when in maintained contact with water.
