The Invasion of Corellia Date 982-983 RSY Location Corellia Participants The Confederacy of Independent Systems , The Jedi Order , The Republic Star Fleet , The Starfighter Corps , The 501st Battalion , The 41st Battalion Deaths Ongoing Campagin Outcome Ongoing Campagin Background The Corellia Campaign is an ongoing campaign for the control of the industrial world of Corellia. The strategic importance of Corellia is almost unparalleled, due to it being the primary shipyard manufacturing planet for the Republic Navy.  However, the Republic’s handling of the planet and the invasion has always been criticized. In one of the most consequential blunders of the Clone Wars, the Republic decided to leave their naval heartland undefended, allowing the Confederacy of Independent Systems to take over the planet without sacrificing many resources. Additionally, the time taken for the Republic to put together a strike force to liberate the planet allowed the Confederate Navy to build up their forces, resulting in loss of life that could have otherwise been avoided.  While the Republic Navy may control the space over Corellia, it is up to the highly trained clones of the 501st to retake the planet, a grueling and punishing task. Separatist Invasion, Day 1 - Lone Defenders While there may be no Military assets ready to defend Corellia, the same could not be said about the Jedi. When the droids arrived, the few Jedi on the surface valiantly fought back, however, ultimately they were unable to defend against the Separatist invasion force by themselves. Separatist Invasion, Day 2 - An ominous meeting The Tactical Droid responsible for heading the invasion of Corellia meets with the Jedi on the surface. As no agreement could be reached, the meeting quickly turned into a firefight between the Jedi and droids.  Separatist Invasion, Day 3 - The Temple Defence While the Separatists may control most of the significant military locations on the planet, the Jedi have managed to defend their temple well, holding off many Droid attacks on their sacred grounds. In order to handle this, Dooku’s preferred acolyte and assassin, Asajj Ventress herself, was sent. After a difficult battle, one that tested the Jedi to their limits, they managed to fend off and injure Ventress, once again preventing the Separatist's from taking the temple. Liberation of Corellia, Day 1 - Blockade Destruction The Republic responds to Corellia by sending some of the best they have to offer. The Republic Venators Ascendant, Hammer, and Redeemer enter the system, ferrying the 501st and 41st battalions to retake the planet. They face a blockade of newly created CIS ships made from the resources and industry on planets surface. The superior tactics of the Republic Navy and its commanders allowed a swift and almost painless victory over Corellia.  Liberation of Corellia, Day 2 - The Fall of the Redeemer The Republic Commanders decide to finish off the original Separatist fleet responsible for the invasion of Corellia before landing ground forces. While they may have faced less capital ships than the previous space engagement, the danger of a tactical droid is its ability to predict tactics and learn from previous battles. Rather than engaging multiple Venators, the CIS focused on one, and while the Republic may have eventually won the battle, it came at the cost of the Venator Star Destroyer “Redeemer”.  Liberation of Corellia, Day 3 - Hard Landing The Clones finally arrive on Corellia and the 501st prove once again why they are regarded as one of the most elite battalions the Clone Army has. Despite facing almost never-ending waves of Droids, constant orbital bombardments, and the largest deployment of Hyena-class Droid Bombers seen at that point in the war, they managed to succeed in setting up their forward operating base and securing a second shield generator. It was at this time the 41st were suddenly deployed to Christophsis due to the casualties suffered by the 91st and 104th battalions .  Liberation of Corellia, Day 4 - Change of Plans If Corellia was a challenge before, it became an all out nightmare now, The 501st having to complete their own established objectives and picking up where the 41st left off faced heavy resistance as they pushed towards a Separatist compound. With droid pods, spider-droids, and no end to the bombardments, many brave Clones perished that day. However, it will take more than the loss of their brothers to deter the 501st, and with sheer determination they managed to capture the Separatist compound. A costly victory. Legacy This story is not yet complete. The Invasion of Rhen Varr Date 983 RSY Location Rhen Varr Participants High Admiral Pax , Marshal Commander Sand ,  Jedi Master Ki-Adi Mundi, Jedi Master Ima Gun-Di , 21st Nova Corps , Republic Commandos ,  Deaths 113 Outcome   Background “The Republic did not lose Rhen Varr in a single battle… It was taken from them, piece by piece.” The Rhen Varr Campaign was the first major blow to the Republic's naval capabilities. After the Republic launched a daring campaign on Christophsis, the Separatist took their opportunity to apply pressure to two Republic planets, Rhen Varr and Corfai.  This campaign is still on going, and with multiple known personnel being involved in the assaults. Above all, this invasion is the first time the Republic has seen the mysterious CIS High Admiral Pax in action. Day 1: Deception High Admiral Pax opened the campaign not with an attack, but with a conversation. Establishing contact with Marshal Commander Sand , Pax held the Republic’s attention just long enough for a Providence-class destroyer to move into position. Moments later, a series of EMP payloads detonated across the Republic fleet, disabling all four Venators almost instantly. The battle for space was decided before it could even begin. Despite the sudden loss, Republic pilots and Jedi managed to hold off incoming CIS forces long enough to evacuate most crews. The Conqueror and Requiem were destroyed, the Hardcase was abandoned, and the Fortitude was captured. Pax personally boarded the vessel, executing select personnel and leaving the remaining crew stranded above Rhen Varr, ensuring the Republic would remember how the war truly began. Day 2: The First Parlay Jedi Master Ima Gun-Di and 21st Commander Keller were invited to parlay with High Admiral Pax. During this meeting, Senator Valerian Draxus of Rhen Varr was transmitted in via a hologram from Coruscant.  During this parlay, the High Admiral offered his men the option to surrender peacefully and concede the planet to Separatist control. The Senator considered, but ultimately denied the Separatist's terms. As a demonstration, High Admiral Pax called for the destruction of an ore refinery on the planet, crippling the economy of Rhen Varr. Day 4: The Capture of Sand Once again wishing for a peaceful surrender, High Admiral Pax and his Shadows made their way to the VSD Fortitude, where Marshal Commander Sand and his men were stranded above the planet. Having failed in his previous negotiations, Pax summoned Senator Valerian Draxus once again to meet with the crew of the Fortitude.  High Admiral Pax offered Marshal Commander Sand and his fleet to the Republic in exchange for Nute Gunray and Watt Tambor, who the Republic previously captured. The Senator from Rhen Varr rejected this trade, not having the desire or authority to hand over the two CIS diplomats.  Left with no other options, High Admiral Pax took Marshal Commander Sand away, firing one lone shot and leaving the Commander's helmet behind for his men to find. The status of the beloved Marshal Commander was left in question. Day 6: Interrogation & Escape After establishing his surface point of operations at the Rhen Varr Excavation Site, High Admiral Pax moved two prisoners to the CIS base; Marshal Commander Sand and RCO Rai, who was captured in a previous operation. After not complying over the course of multiple sessions, Pax leaves the interrogation into the hands of his most trusted Shadow, Admiral Silk. After a long and painful session with the Admiral, Marshal Commander Sand reveals more information about the Clones training process and the man responsible for turning young Cadets into fully trained Clone Troopers. Later that night, Marshal Commander Sand sees his chance to escape along with RCO Rai. The Shadow's underestimated the injured Clones, and leave a blaster vulnerable for Sand to seize. Together, Sand and Rai take out 3 Shadows and fight their way out of the CIS base. They reach a CIS shuttle and are about to make it back to orbit when they are shot down. Wounded but alive, the two Clones are now stranded somewhere in the mountains of Rhen Varr. Day 8: Ruins The 21st Nova Corps took on the challenge and decided to push away from the safety of Bravo Base to defeat the CIS forces that have gathered at the Excavation Site. However, to do so, they needed to push through the harsh Ruins of Rhen Varr. In the cover of night, the cold Marines pushed forward. After being spotted by Admiral Silk and his Providence's in lower atmosphere, CIS forces are mobilized to halt the Clones progress. Facing countless B2 Super Battle Droids, AATs, Spider Droids, and Orbital Bombardments, the 21st Nova Corps and their attached Special Operations Units pushed through a deadly assault. After a long battle, the 21st successfully pushed through Ruins after facing heavy causalities. In all the chaos, Jedi Master Ki-Adi Mundi was able to capture a CIS Tactical Droid, which will aid the 21st in future operations on the planet. Day 11: Victory & Deception After a long march through Ruins, the 21st finally arrived at the CIS stronghold at Excavation Site. Due to a tracker in RCO Rai's armor, the Clones are aware that nearby is the lost Clones captured by High Admiral Pax.  The Clones split their forces, with the Marines taking on the CIS fortress and the Commando's searching for the survivors of Pax.  The Marines faced a heavy defense at the fortress, but not nearly as large as the forces they have fought previously. Most importantly, High Admiral Pax seemed to be completely missing from his own stronghold. Unbothered by the limited defenses, the 21st successfully push forward through the Droids and capture the CIS point of operations on Rhen Varr. After losing the base, Admiral Silk pulls his Providences away from Excavation, mysteriously leaving the Clones unharmed. In the middle of this chaos, the Commando's led by Jedi Master Ki-Adi Mundi are able to find and rescue Marshal Commander Sand and RCO Rai. However, Sand was not finished, and ordered the Commando squad to take him back to Pax's prison nearby. The Commando's do what they do best and take the prison easily, surprised by the limited forces holding the high value prison. While searching for information on the prison's computers, Commander Sand notices a pre-recorded message left the day he escaped. The computer automatically plays a recording left by High Admiral Pax. "Commander Sand. I suspected you would return eventually. Your escape was… admirable. Truly. Watching you and your Commando scramble for that shuttle was quite entertaining. Stealing a CIS craft and fleeing into the void… bold. Though I was surprised you never stopped to ask yourself a simple question. Why was it there? Why was the hangar lightly guarded… why did the launch path remain clear… why did no one pursue you? Your escape, Commander… was permitted.  You see, battle droids fight well enough. But they cannot build. Not quickly. Not efficiently. Clones, however… are exceptional at it. Your 21st Legion in particular has mastered the art of constructing a forward base anywhere it lands. I studied your tactics carefully. Long before we ever met. An offensive campaign against your legion would have been… costly. So instead, I allowed you to do what you do best. You built the base for me. I must apologize, however. I did lie to you. I told you I was leaving the system. But as you watch this message… my fleet is already descending on your Republic base south of your position. All that work. All that time. All that effort your men spent securing this world… Was simply preparation for my arrival. Now you must do it all again. Except this time… the balance has shifted. I hold the space. I hold the atmosphere. And very soon… I will hold your base. Good luck, Commander Sand. I am very interested to see what you attempt next." Once the recording finishes, the clones are alerted that Bravo Base is under attack. Pax and his Shadows have circled around the planet and launched a full invasion on the heavily fortified, but lightly defended, Republic base.  Left with no other options, Sand and the 21st dig in and set up a temporary base at Excavation, having no way to support their men who have just lost Bravo Base to the CIS. Day 12: The Escape of Sand Being stranded for too long, Marshal Commander Sand decides it is in the best interest of the Republic if he attempts to flee the planet and reunite with his forces on Coruscant. Sand intends to send a much larger fleet back to Rhen Varr in his place to support the 21st and free them from the clutches of High Admiral Pax. Using a CIS shuttle and stolen codes from the Tactical Droid the 21st secured at Ruins, Sand and his Commando's are able to break through the Reaper's blockade and leave the system. The 21st are weakened, but hopeful that their salvation will return soon with a fleet that can break Pax. Day 16: Recapture of Bravo After pushing through Ruins once again, the 21st and their Commando's face a large CIS force occupying Bravo Base. With Pax and Silk occupied above the planet, the Clones use this opportunity for a surprise attack to recapture their lost base. After a short battle, the Clones are successful in their recapture without summoning the Shadows. The Bravo Base is restored to Republic control, however, it is heavily damaged from multiple battles without repair. Day 17: The Trap While attempting to repair the broken Bravo Base, the 21st and their Jedi receive an incoming transmission from a CIS Providence-Class Destroyer. Jedi Master Ki-Adi Mundi answers the call, and is met with High Admiral Pax on the other end. Through the conversation, it is revealed that this has been Pax's plan all along, and that he now has the Clones trapped with no possible retreat. On his command, Pax disables the Clones's shield generators and begins landing the largest droid army of the invasion right on top of Bravo Base. The 21st, Jedi, and Commandos hold their own for some time, until Pax himself and 10 of his best Shadows make their way to the icy surface. The High Admiral flanks the Clones position and begins splitting up their front line from the top of the mountain. With the Jedi focused on Pax, the Clones begin to be pushed back and are soon forced to retreat inside the Bravo Base. Pax now has the advantage and the Republic is trapped inside the mountain. Wishing to avoid anymore bloodshed, High Admiral Pax calls for a cease fire so that he may meet with the Jedi face to face. He offers them terms for surrender, which is considered for some time. During the discussion, Pax's Shadows take Padawan Raves Konan away as a good faith payment of mutual terms. After not coming to an agreement, Pax makes his way back to his forces to continue the assault. While his back is turned, Jedi Master Ima Gun-Di rushes Pax and attempts to end the battle with one swing of his saber. The Jedi is too slow, and Pax's Shadows and Droids begin to open fire. The battle continues, and Pax makes his way over to Padawan Konan. Pax and his droids execute the Padawan and continue on with the battle. Despite the Republic forces being heavily diminished, the 21st still shows no sign of surrender. Wanting to force their hand, Pax places explosives in the hallway. After pulling his Shadow's back, Pax collapses the hallway, trapping the remaining Republic forces inside their own base. Day 19: Failed Escape After days stuck in the base, the 21st is left with no option but to attempt an escape. The three remaining Jedi begin to cut away at the collapsed hallway in an attempt to make their way back to their old hangar. Upon clearing the rubble, they are met with an overwhelming CIS force. B1s, B2s, AATs, Pyke Sentinels, Shadows, and High Admiral Pax himself all await the Clones in the hangar. Seeing no other option, the three Jedi along with Commander Keller make their way to speak to Pax face to face. After a few threats and executions, Pax finally convinces the 21st to surrender. The four leaders hand over their weapons and are taken prisoner by Pax's Shadows. In return for their surrender, High Admiral Pax guarantees the safety of the Clones who will remain in the base.  Following the surrender, the four 21st leaders are taken from Bravo Base and transported to High Admiral Pax's fleet. Day 19: Desperate Rescue Having lost all communication with their forces at Bravo Base, Commander Bacara leads the rest of the 21st through Ruins fearing the worst. They push through the harsh Rhen Varr climate with haste to reach their stranded men.  As they make their way through Ruins, High Admiral Pax uses his Providence to meet them in the field. Countless droid pods are sent down as Pax hopes to halt the Clone advance. Despite a heavy disadvantage, the Clones persist, and continue on towards Bravo Base. Seeing no way of stopping them without his army, Pax decides to visit them from his shuttle. His goal is not to negotiate, but to break their will. While above them, Pax drops the helmets of their fallen brothers in the 21st. This angers the Clones, and they push through Ruins even faster despite the incoming orbitals now from Pax's ship.  After finding cover in the mountains, the Clones persist through Ruins and Pax pulled his forces back to make one final stand at Bravo Base. Day 21: The Final Ballad of Silk After securing his prisoners, Admiral Pax left the Rhen Varr system with broader plans within the Clone Wars. In his place, the notorious Shadow Admiral Silk was left in command of the ruined Bravo Base. Knowing that their fellow soldiers were still inside, the 21st made a daring plan to rid Rhen Varr of CIS occupation once and for all. The Clones, led by Commander Bacara, made a two frontal push on Bravo Base. Admiral Silk did not hold back, using orbital bombardments, turrets, pyke soldiers, and 3 Shadows to repel the onslaught of marines. Despite facing heavy losses, the 21st continued to push forward.  In the chaos, Admiral Silk and his Shadows locate Commander Bacara. In an attempt to divide the enemy and cause chaos, Admiral Silk takes out Commander Bacara and finishes him with a sniper. With the Commander dead, the 21st are left angered and confused. However, the Clones did not stand down. Jedi Master Eugah assumed command and continued the assault. Before long, the Clones had the CIS Admiral surrounded and trapped inside his hangar. Silk pulled back all his forces, but there were too few. The Clones continued to push relentlessly, destroying every droid in their path. Jedi Master Eugah led his forces through the hangar and into the long hallway where many of his men lost their lives. After a tough and long push, the Clones successfully defeated the droids and killed Admiral Silk. The CIS, now leaderless on Rhen Varr, fled the planet to reunite with High Admiral Pax. After nearly a month of bleeding and fighting, the Clones have successfully won one of the deadliest campaigns to date. The Siege of Alderaan Date 982 RSY Location Alderaan Participants Galactic Republic , Inner Rim Confederacy , CIS Deaths 105 Outcome Victory — Alderaan Liberated   Overview The Alderaan Campaign was one of the opening major conflicts of the Clone Wars. The Confederacy of Independent Systems began one of their first large-scale invasions following the Senate’s ultimatum. What began as a sudden orbital assault quickly escalated into a prolonged multi-phase battle across space and planetary surfaces. The campaign is most remembered for its brutal engagements in orbit, the devastation of the Kriin Woods , and the eventual full liberation of Alderaan by Republic forces.  Phase I — CIS Invasion of Alderaan Space In response to the Republic’s ultimatum, the CIS launched a full invasion of Alderaan Space with a large fleet composed of Munificents, Providences, and hundreds of starfighters supported by massive droid deployments. The Republic Navy engaged immediately. Despite sustaining losses, Republic forces successfully repelled the initial invasion fleet , preventing a rapid CIS takeover and marking one of the first defensive victories of the war. Phase II — Blockade and First Orbital Following their failed initial assault, CIS forces established a blockade over Alderaan , attempting to cut off Republic reinforcements. Republic fleets engaged in repeated space battles to break the blockade. In a critical turning point, Republic forces destroyed a section of the blockade , forcing CIS ships to retreat to the far side of the planet and opening a corridor for reinforcements. A subsequent CIS counterattack attempted to intercept Republic landing operations, leading to intense naval combat involving boarding actions and heavily damaged Venators. The Republic successfully defended its fleet and proceeded with deployment operations. Phase III — Ground War and Defense of Aldera City As Republic forces established a presence on the surface, the battle shifted to key population and military centers, including Aldera City . The CIS launched a concentrated assault aimed at destroying the Republic’s shield generator and collapsing its foothold on the planet. The attack involved the full commitment of local droid forces in a final attempt to overwhelm Republic defenses. The effort failed. The 212th Battalion held their position , repelling the assault and maintaining control of the Republic base, ensuring continued operations on the planet. Phase IV — The Slaughter of Kriin Woods In preparation for large-scale reinforcements, the 501st Legion and Jedi forces moved to establish a landing zone in the Kriin Woods . They were met with a devastating ambush. Thousands of battle droids overwhelmed the position, and a concealed Providence-class vessel descended from the atmosphere , unleashing orbital bombardment directly onto Republic forces. The event, later known as the Slaughter of Kriin Woods , resulted in catastrophic losses. The 501st was forced to retreat, and the region fell under CIS control. Phase V — Final Assault and Liberation Following the setback at Kriin Woods, Republic forces regrouped and launched a coordinated counteroffensive. Republic Star Fleet , Starfighter Corps , the  5th Fleet , the 501st Legion , and Jedi elements pursued the remaining CIS fleet and ground forces into the Kriin region and surrounding positions. The final battle was one of the most intense of the campaign. CIS forces deployed all remaining assets, including sustained droid waves and orbital support. Republic forces, supported by aerial strikes and coordinated ground assaults, systematically eliminated all remaining enemy positions. The final CIS Providence was destroyed. All remaining droid forces were wiped out. Aftermath With the destruction of the remaining CIS fleet and ground forces, Alderaan was fully liberated . The campaign marked a decisive early victory for the Republic and demonstrated its ability to withstand and repel large-scale Confederate offensives. However, the cost was severe. The heavy losses, particularly during the Slaughter of Kriin Woods, highlighted the brutal nature of the war and the scale of sacrifice required to secure victory. Significance First major Republic defensive victory of the Clone Wars Demonstrated CIS capability for large-scale invasions Highlighted the effectiveness of Republic naval coordination and ground resilience Established Alderaan as a secured Republic stronghold as a frontline planet Marked by one of the deadliest single engagements of the war, the  Slaughter of Kriin Woods       The Siege of Carida Date  982 RSY Location Carida Participants Galactic Republic Confederacy of Independent Systems Pirate Forces Crimson Serpents Mercenary Pact Deaths Trying to just hover over one item, so I can like participants to their actual faction page Outcome Republic Victory — Carida Liberated Background The Carida Campaign was a large-scale military conflict fought between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS) for control of the strategically important world of Carida , a major Republic military training and logistics center. The campaign unfolded across several phases, beginning with pirate incursions in orbit, escalating into a full CIS fleet assault, followed by a ground invasion that lasted several days. The fighting included large fleet engagements, the deployment of specialized Republic units, and the intervention of powerful Force-users on both sides. Despite severe losses and the destruction of multiple capital ships, Republic forces ultimately liberated Carida , ending the campaign with a decisive strategic victory. Pirate Incursions in Carida Space The first signs of conflict appeared when  unknown hyperspace signatures were detected near Carida. These objects were initially believed to be hyperspace debris or asteroids. The objects were later identified as a large pirate strike force , composed of over 150 pirate starfighters and several capital ships. Republic naval forces, including the Republic Starfighter Corps (RSF) and Starfighter Command (SFC) , responded immediately. Jedi Generals Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi personally led Republic squadrons during the engagement. At first we thought they were asteroids. Then the stars started moving… and suddenly every scanner lit up red. - Republic Navy Pilot, Carida Defense Fleet Battle Outcome Over 150 pirate starfighters destroyed Multiple pirate capital ships driven from the system Republic fleet retained control of Carida orbit However, the pirates regrouped and launched a second major assault. Second Pirate Offensive In retaliation for their earlier defeat, pirate forces launched a larger attack including: 12 pirate frigates Over 100 starfighters The battle was intense, but the Republic Navy held its defensive line . Carida remained under Republic control. First CIS Fleet Assault during the War The situation escalated dramatically when the Confederacy of Independent Systems entered the conflict directly. Under the command of Count Dooku , a powerful CIS fleet attacked Carida orbit. The attacking fleet consisted of: Providence-class carriers Munificent-class frigates Numerous escort vessels During the engagement: One Republic Venator-class Star Destroyer was destroyed Five Munificent-class frigates destroyed One Providence-class capital ship destroyed This marked one of the first major fleet battles of the war in the sector. When the Venator went down, nobody said a word on comms. Then someone just said ‘Hold the line.’ And we did. - Republic Starfighter Corps Pilot Despite Republic resistance, the CIS fleet succeeded in establishing orbital superiority long enough to launch a planetary invasion . The Invasion of Carida The CIS invasion of Carida began shortly after the orbital battle. Large numbers of droid forces were deployed to the planet’s surface, including: AAT battle tanks Spider droids Thousands of B1 and B2 battle droids Republic defenders included: The 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps The 104th Battalion The 21st Nova Corps Republic Commandos Jedi leadership and support units Day 1 - Republic Counterattack The CIS initially captured several strategic positions across Carida. Republic forces mounted coordinated counterattacks and successfully retook all major objectives by the end of the first day .  Despite heavy fighting,  Carida remained under Republic control . Day 2 - The Sith Assassin The second day of the invasion brought a decisive shift in momentum. The CIS deployed a mysterious Sith assassin , described as a pale-skinned woman wielding dual red lightsabers . She cut through Republic defenses and key objectives, enabling droid forces to overwhelm defensive positions. Her actions allowed the CIS to seize several strategic locations, marking Day 2 as a major CIS victory during the campaign. The assassin was later identified as: Asajj Ventress . She cut through clones and Jedi like they were nothing. I’ve fought droids my whole life… but that was the first time I understood fear. Clone Trooper, 91st Recon Corps Day 3 - Beasts of the Crimson Serpents During the third day of the invasion, the CIS entered into a pact with a mercenary faction known as the Crimson Serpents. As part of this alliance, the CIS unleashed massive beasts from distant worlds against Republic lines. The battlefield saw: Hundreds of tanks deployed Thousands of battle droids Biological war-beasts released against clone formations The fighting was brutal, but Republic forces refused to break. Despite enormous pressure, Carida’s defensive lines held. Day 4 - The Battle of the RSV Invictus During the relief operation, CIS forces deployed mercenary fleets belonging to the IRC , supported by large fighter swarms. The battle escalated into a massive fleet engagement. During the fighting, Asajj Ventress boarded the Republic Venator RSV Invictus . Inside the ship she fought both clones and Jedi, cutting through defenders with extreme brutality. Duel with Mace Windu Ventress confronted Jedi Master Mace Windu during the boarding action. During the duel: Mace Windu lost his hand Several Jedi and clone troopers were killed Another Jedi was blinded Ventress eventually escaped the ship using a captured Republic vessel. The RSV Invictus was destroyed during the battle. Day 5 - The Liberation of Carida With CIS orbital forces weakened and the relief fleet in position, Republic ground forces launched a final offensive. Units involved included: 91st Recon Corps 104th Battalion 21st Nova Corps 501st Legion Remaining Special Forces detachments Republic troops pushed out from an underground forward operating base and engaged the last remaining droid forces across Carida. Republic units eventually linked up with Venator forces in orbit, fully breaking the siege. Carida was officially liberated. Aftermath The campaign left Carida heavily damaged. Estimated damage to infrastructure was recorded at: 1,000,000 credits . If repairs are not completed, future invasions of the planet will have significantly fewer defensive positions available, leaving only a single underground forward operating base as a strategic capture point. Approximately  70 clone troopers were killed during the ground fighting across the multi-day invasion. Around  60 naval personnel and pilots were killed during the space battles defending Carida orbit. Several Jedi were killed during the campaign, including  Sparda Tenebris , Ralak Solari , Traigh , and Sly . Mace Windu was severely wounded during a duel with Asajj Ventress , losing his hand, and another Jedi was permanently blinded. The Republic also lost the Venator-class Star Destroyer RSV Invictus during the orbital fighting. Despite the cost, the campaign ended as a major strategic victory for the Republic , securing one of its most important military worlds. Three days of fighting. The fleet burning above us. The ground shaking from tanks and beasts. And when it was over… Carida was still standing. Clone Trooper, 104th Battalion The Carida Campaign is remembered as: One of the first major fleet battles of the war The first confirmed appearance of Asajj Ventress in the sector A campaign that demonstrated the CIS willingness to deploy Sith assassins, mercenary fleets, and biological warfare Venator Incident of 978 RSY CLASS Venator-Class Star Destroyer NAME The Reliant MANUFACTURER Kuat Drive Yards IN SERVICE 975 RSY- 978 RSY STATUS Destroyed DEATHS 13,484 COST $24,000,000 RC ADMIRAL Admiral Draven Voss   Background The 104th Venator "The Reliant" a Republic starship, had recently returned from a critical mission deep within unknown territory. The mission's success was of paramount importance, as it carried vital information that could significantly impact the relationship between the Republic, and independent systems. Mission Objectives The mission's primary objectives included: Gathering valuable droid data. Obtaining strategic plans Determining the whereabouts of high-ranking members of the Trade Federation. Acquiring the exact locations of key droid factories. The Trade Federation was determined to prevent the Venator from delivering this intelligence to the Jedi Order and thus sought to stop its escape. To achieve this, the Trade Federation employed several tactics. Droid Deployment Control Ships: The Trade Federation dispatched two Control ships to intercept the Venator, vastly outnumbering the lone Republic vessel. B1 Droid Pods: The Trade Federation deployed pods of battle droids to board the Venator, capitalizing on the element of surprise while the clone troopers were regrouping after a ground battle. Republic Response The ship's commander rapidly mobilized all available troops and launched over 30 ARC-170 starfighters to engage the incoming Control ships. Meanwhile, the majority of the droids invaded empty barracks near the exhausted clone troopers. The clones did their utmost to survive within the barracks, but the droids soon changed their focus and moved towards the hangar to prevent further Venator departures. Within the Main Control room, two Jedi stood ready to safeguard the valuable intelligence. As all clone troopers were preoccupied with dealing with B1 droids on the lower levels, the Venator's Commander and a team of clones must transmit a message to the Control room, updating them on the current situation and urging them to request backup. The signal managed to reach the 212th Attack Battalion nearby, but the ship was soon destroyed, claiming the lives of Admiral Draven Voss, Jedi Master Lyria, Jedi Padawan Zano, and 13,484 clone troopers. Negotiations Upon receiving the distress call, the Control room initiated a plea for reinforcements, successfully reaching the 212th. As the 212th arrived, they saw a graveyard of destroyed ARC-170's, Droid Pods, and The Reliant Venator. Trade Federation response The Trade Federation, under the leadership of Viceroy Voss Malachi made a formal and public response to the tragedy. It went as follows: //We, the Trade Federation, wish to express our deepest regret regarding the recent unfortunate incident involving one of our fleets and Republic forces. We extend our condolences to the families and comrades affected by the loss of life, including the valiant Jedi who perished in the course of the conflict. It is imperative to understand that the encounter was not initiated to cause such catastrophic outcomes. The engagement was sparked amidst escalating tensions, and our forces were compelled to defend against what was perceived as a threat to our sovereignty. In the fog of war, the destruction of a Venator-class Star Destroyer and the loss of numerous clone troopers occurred as an unintended consequence. Our foremost priority is to maintain peaceful relations, and we deeply regret the loss of life on both sides. We propose an immediate cease-fire to allow for a thorough investigation into the incident. Transparency is crucial, and we are committed to cooperating fully with any impartial inquiry to determine the circumstances leading to this unfortunate clash. Let us work together towards a resolution that ensures the safety and stability of our respective territories. We believe in diplomacy as the means to resolve conflicts and prevent further bloodshed.// Viceroy Voss Malachi Legacy The events of the 104th Venator Mission shifted the Republic and the Trade Federation into a political cold war, with both sides sanctioning each other.
