 Overview 

 The living memory of a battlefield from ages past, the Keshtamor Asteroid Field is a part of the Malachor Sector that all travellers know to avoid. Many ships have tried to adventure into the Asteroid Field, but very few have returned to tell the tale. Centuries ago, there were stories of missing Jedi vessels, cryptic messages, and whispers about old cults. 

 However, despite it's unusual properties, it is a strategic choke point in the Clone Wars. Due to its proximity to the Separatist heartland of Geonosis , holding the Asteroid Field has turned to a key part of Separatist Naval strategy.

 Society and Culture 

 There are no native species that live in the Keshtamor Asteroid Field. However, based on rumors from old travellers, it is believed that the Children of the Wailing Shade currently reside there. An old and feared cult, they seem to be the only ones who are able to safely traverse and survive in the Asteroid Field. Not much is known about the Children of the Wailing Shade, and in recent years, it seems they have gone to ground, hiding from the Republic and other galactic powers in their quiet region of space. 

 Recent Developments 

 Information from a leaked Separatist Navy transmission shows that a Separatist Fleet, under the direction of Admiral Ravor, a Super Tactical Droid, has been stationed on the outskirts of the Keshtamor Asteroid Field. Only time will tell if this is just preparation by the Confederacy to protect the hyperspace routes into Geonosis or if there is something more behind this sudden movement.
