The Fight Against Tyranny

PERIOD 851 AHR - 854 AHR
REIGN King Eric II Fritz

History

For four years straight, the Military had taken it upon themselves to fight back against the tyranny of the Government and their Interior Police. Multiple deaths would ring out among the high-ranking and high-commanding officers of the Military, to the point where the remaining members could take no more.

The Military would find the killings of their own personnel completely unjust and tyrannical by the Government, as some would go to the extent of creating their own faction: Operation Bird. These individuals would almost portray the freedom fighters of the Eldian population as they would stand for fair treatment between the civilians and the government, but due to the brainwashing from the corrupt leaders, swaying civilians to give ear to their side would be far from easy. While this faction would be created in hopes of getting to the bottom of the corrupt government, another faction- Crownsmark would also be formed. These individuals would fight for the government, pushing for the decisions and leadership of the current figures in power.

Both of these parties would bump heads multiple times as turmoil would spread across every district. Countless raids and bloodshed would take place all around, and not one governmental leader would bat an eye at how the walls were taking a dramatic change into a Civil War. One side would fight for resources and freedom, while the other side would fight for proper rules and regulations. Every time, both parties would be left in utter chaos, with years of this occurring. Branch Commanders and higher ranks would begin to brainstorm as to how all these issues could be quickly resolved, but with little help from world leaders, all would remain futile.

The day was like any other normal day, but under the disguise of tranquility, a storm was silently brewing. Years of planning and missions all led to the culmination of the final operation in the capital, Mitras. Under the guise of the new year marking 853 AHR, Operation Bird would launch its final full-scale mission to save the Stationary Guard Commander Reed Braun.

As multiple soldiers rushed into the dead of night with the moon shining bright in the sky, a battle would ensue between the soldiers searching for freedom and the missing commander and those who swore loyalty to the government and its control. As the battle would rage on quite late during the night, bodies would fall just like a plucked feather. With neither side showing any restraint towards the people they once called comrades. But ultimately, thanks to years of planning, the search operation would end up being fruitful.

Under all the chaos and slaughter, the soldiers would end up finding the commander. The joy of this discovery would be short-lived as the soldiers would gaze upon the injured commander as his left eye was seemingly gouged out. With the Commander now found, Operation Bird received a new burst of energy as they fought the remaining Crownsmark present to fully escape the capital. But with every success comes sacrifices. A combined 12 soldiers would fall during the battle, one that will be etched in history books forever. But for many, a broader question would remain: was the sacrifice to save one person really worth the lives of multiple soldiers? But in the end, Operation Bird has finally managed to get the upper hand over Crownsmark.

Fueled by frustration and loss after countless rejections from the Government, the civilians of Trost begin their journey toward the Capital.

Dust kicks up under determined footsteps, their voices low but their hearts loud. Banners wave, eyes burn with purpose; they come not just with anger, but with demands. Just as the carts begin to slow near Mitras, chaos erupts. Crownsmark operatives, disguised among the city guard, turn on the arriving Trost civilians. Blades flash and shouts fill the air as panic spreads across the caravan. Civilians scatter, some running for the alleys, others taking cover behind the carts. The arrival has turned into a brutal ambush.

Gasps ripple through the crowd, the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister collapse, lifeless, struck down in the chaos of the Crownsmark ambush. Their bodies hit the ground, the weight of their legacy crashing down with them. The power vacuum is instant, and uncertainty spreads like wildfire.

The King- Eric Fritz II drops to his knees, blood staining the fabric of his robe as his crown tumbles to the ground. With the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and now the King dead, silence floods the capital with an eerie, suffocating stillness. The monarchy crumbles in an instant. Mitras trembles, and with no one left to rule, a storm of rebellion, desperation, and uncertain hope brews among the people.

As Operation Bird and Crownsmark clash in the heart of the capital, the streets tremble beneath their boots. Smoke lingers, the ground is littered with the aftermath, and silence slowly returns. Both sides withdraw. The Capital stands scarred, but the war-torn night finally settles.

The Walls would walk into a new light as those who once ruled over the people would diminish and fade away. New rulers would take various positions slowly, and Eldia would begin to return to the way it should have always been.

Present Day

The two factions have since disbanded after the war had ended. Following the death of Eric II Fritz, his daughter Athena was crowned queen, a decision that little to nobody objected. The positions of Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister had also been filled, with the Prime Minister position filled by a former Military leader, Military Police Commander Nate Marseille.

The Government and the Military now work together in harmony, benefiting eachother when necessary.
