Overview

CO-4084 "Tachyon" was a clone trooper born on Kamino and trained to serve the Galactic Republic. Unlike many of his brothers, Tachyon was never the strongest fighter or the best marksman. Instead, he excelled in logistical work, showing great attention to detail and ensuring that supplies and equipment were always accounted for. During his time on Kamino, he grew up alongside CO-2953 "Vamp," one of his closest brothers. Although Vamp often had the upper hand during their training, their friendship grew stronger over time. After graduating from the academy, both clones were assigned to the Republic Star Fleet, beginning their careers in the Republic Navy.

Tachyon's first major deployment was the Alderaan Space Battle, where he served aboard the VSD Vigil. The battle ended in a devastating loss for the Republic, as the VSD Tano, VSD Tranquility, and VSD Phantom were destroyed, forcing the remaining Republic forces to retreat. The experience left Tachyon with lasting trauma and affected his willingness to participate in future major battles. Despite this, he continued serving the Republic through his logistical responsibilities, eventually becoming the Senior Logistical Officer for the Regal and Foundry Fleets. CO-4084 "Tachyon" would visit a bar on Coruscant to spend time with his friends and fellow officers, allowing himself a brief escape from the responsibilities of the Navy.

Service in the Republic Star Fleet

Throughout his service, CO-4084 "Tachyon" became an important member of the Republic Star Fleet through his dedication to logistics and organization. While he did not participate in many major battles, his work helped ensure that the fleet's operations continued running smoothly. His attention to detail and commitment to his duties earned him recognition from his superiors, and he was eventually promoted to Deputy Chief of Logistics and the rank of Ensign. Tachyon continued to rise through the ranks, eventually becoming the Chief Logistics Officer of the Republic Star Fleet and receiving a promotion to Sub-Lieutenant.

However, his growing responsibilities were soon overshadowed by the loss of his close friend and mentor, CO-3096 "Whater." Upon learning that Whater had been killed in action, CO-4084 "Tachyon" was deeply affected by the news. The two had shared similar interests, and Whater had been an important mentor throughout CO-4084 "Tachyon" career. Seeking time to process his grief, CO-4084 "Tachyon" visited the cloning facilities on Kamino to reflect on his memories and cope with the loss of another brother.

After some time, CO-4084 "Tachyon" was recalled to the Venator Crimson, where CO-4877 "Laplace" informed him that Whater had left him a box containing his signed DC-17B(D) pistols. The weapons had been signed by Whater, Battalion Commander Heremes, John Ensign, and the former Deputy Head Academist. The gift served as a lasting reminder of their friendship and the respect Whater had for Tachyon.

Following this, CO-4084 "Tachyon" was promoted to Lieutenant and appointed Division Commander of the Acklay Division, one of the most senior and elite divisions within Republic Star Fleet operations. He was tasked with leading the RSF detail at the funeral for fallen Navy personnel. Despite the grief he carried, Tachyon led the detail with dignity and professionalism, ensuring that the fallen were honored and remembered. The ceremony became an important moment in his service, allowing him to pay his respects to his fallen brothers while continuing to fulfill his responsibilities.

Rise to Chief of Staff

CO-4084 "Tachyon" continued serving the Republic Star Fleet, building upon his experience in logistics and fleet administration. His dedication, organizational abilities, and commitment to his fellow officers helped establish his reputation as a dependable leader. Throughout his career, he maintained close relationships with several members of the Navy, including his longtime friend Vamp, his mentor Taichi, and Vice Admiral Odysseus Varro, whom he greatly admired for his support.

After years of service and continued dedication to the Republic, Tachyon was eventually promoted to Chief of Staff of the Republic Star Fleet and attained the rank of Commander. His rise from a clone who struggled with combat training to one of the fleet's senior leaders demonstrated that service to the Republic required more than skill on the battlefield. Through logistics, leadership, and dedication to his brothers, CO-4084 "Tachyon" secured his place within the Republic Star Fleet and continued to serve the Republic he had been created to protect.
