Mandalorian Empire

About

Conquest, Honor, Loyalty

Century before the Clone Wars, ancient warriors clad in Beskar metal expanded their ideologies across the known galaxy through conquest of great civilizations led by their leader, the Mand'alor. Representing the Mandalorian people as a whole, their role is the military leader, king, and cultural leader and a symbol towards the Mandalore people.

Known History

Before the Mandalore, they were the Taung. Led by infamous leader the Mandalore the First. Prone for combat, he led the Taung to the vibrant Mandalore. Through conquest, they eventually were able to convince the native species of the planet, further establishing that the culture is not based on purely race. This is when they began calling themselves, The Mandalorians

There is one undiscovered legend that is unproven in the Mandalorian culture, the existence of the Mythosaur. It is believed that the founder of the Mandalorians felled one, proving he was strongest among them. The skull is one of the most recognizable symbols in the galaxy.

The Mandalorian Wars

In the days of the old republic and during Mandalore's great expansion, they were moving rapidly through Republic territory. They believed the Republic had grown weak in peacetime and sought to take territory to prove their dominance. Led by Mandalore the Ultimate, the Mand'alor during the war, he led the strongest Mandalorian army that the galaxy had ever seen, Many Jedi wished to intervene, but the order made them refrain from joining the combat. A few jedi refused the order.

Lead by the revered Jedi commanders Revan and Malak, they coined themselves the Revanchists. Set on stopping the Mandalore expansion and saving the Republic, Revan was known as an incredible leader and a tactical genius.

The Battle of Malachor V

In the climax of the war, Revan had prepared a trap for the Mandalorian's at Malachor to destroy a majority of their army in one swoop. They had a superweapon known as the Mass Shadow Generator. It would manipulate the planets gravitational field and create a large catastrophe. The results would be devastating on both sides. Both Mandalorian and Republic ships were destroyed as well as ground forces. It's estimated that upwards of millions died. During the battle, Revan and Mandalore the Ultimate met on the field and Revan defeated and killed him. He also took the Mandalore's Mask, an ancient Mandalorian treasure and with that shattered the Mandalorian civilization to collapse.
