History
With Humanity’s flourishment over the last two centuries, it was inevitable that strife would eventually face this growing civilization. With many settled, as individuals continued about their daily lives, famine and hunger began to plague our once great lands. The three Walls known to Humanity were vital places in which far different lifestyles took their roots. Eventually, conflict would arise in the form of the “War of the Damned.” Settlement leaders across Walls Maria, Rose, and Sina came together with good intentions to discuss the issues The Walls were faced with, however at the conclusion of the meeting, the only known certainty was that conflict was inevitable. With leaders unable to come to a common consensus or resolution as to what efforts they should take in regard to storing all that’d fallen within recent years, circumstances throughout The Walls grew increasingly desperate.
Burning of Royal Palace
In 200 BHR, the construction of the Royal Palace began, symbolizing a monumental testament to the visionary leadership of the kings of humanity. Providing shelter to the royals and a place to surely call home. King Delroy II Fritz was acutely aware of the need for a symbol that would unify his people and provide a beacon of hope for generations to come. King Delroy II Fritz embarked on the grand endeavor of constructing the first Royal Palace, a project that would come to embody the enduring spirit of Humanity, and the strength of the Royal Family. The palace's design was a triumph of architectural brilliance, dating to current and past human architecture.
The structure was completed at the end of the year, and stood tall and strong for 13 short years. King Delroy II Fritz took in many to work within the palace, ranging from maids, chefs, janitors, historians, and many others who would be of assistance to the royals residing within it. The workers were provided with the utmost honorable hospitality as they grew closer to members of the Royal Family. During the “War of the Damned,” the Royal Palace was raided. Valuable historical pieces were stolen, which have since been lost to time, and the palace’s kitchen was set ablaze. The fire rapidly engulfed the grandiose structure, and in just three short hours, all that remained was a singed pile of rubble. As disgruntled heretics marched from the scene of the crime, workers of the Royal Palace picked through the wreckage, hoping to salvage what was left of their great creation.
An act of mercy
Soon after the burning of the Royal Palace, news of the incident spread quickly across The Walls. Questions such as how the Royal Family allowed something so disastrous to occur in such a protected area in Wall Sina lingered within the citizens' minds. This led to unease and nervousness throughout Humanity, as many began to question if the Monarchy could prevent the insurrectionists from further disrupting society. Confusion and doubts flooded the citizens' minds, and wonders about their own safety floated within the air.
A single man named Ormerio Valentine, a citizen of Wall Maria, decided to protest against the Fritz Family. This unruly man hid his true intentions under the thin veil of providing the citizens of Wall Maria with a voice; he urged them to fight for their own safety if the Fritz family could not secure it for them. The Fritz family, however, offered their assurances to the People of Wall Maria, promising them that their safety is guaranteed. Many were able to see through the lies and fears perpetuated by Ormerio, and placed their faith in the Royal Family to bring an end to the senseless violence plaguing The Walls during this period.
Eventually, Omerio’s lies caught up with him. It was understood that his conduct was a poor attempt at furthering anti-Fritz sentiments so that he and his family could take the throne for themselves. Omerio was to be executed for his grave crimes against Humanity, however in an act of mercy, the Royal Family exonerated him, allowing him to live out the rest of his life in an estate located within Wall Sina.
The reform of the Military Police Brigade
With King Delroy II Fritz being reasonably outraged due to the Burning of the Royal Palace, the First Commander of the Military Police Brigade, Yuno Okami, was in for a rude awakening. As the King entered the HQ of the Military Police Brigade, he informed the Commander with his critiques and concerns about the branch. King Delroy II Fritz generously gave the Commander one last chance to prove himself worthy of the Commander rank, as he was disappointed with the Commander's work within the current time.
Yuno Okami got straight to work, upset at his own lousy mistakes as well as allowing for the Burning of the Royal Palace to slip by him; he wanted nothing more than to make up for his losses. Taking in the gracious wisdom King Delroy provided to him, the Commander would spend countless nights thinking of ways to fix the mess he was in-charge of. It was said King Delroy II Fritz and Yuno Okami met multiple times to discuss the future of the Military Police Brigade, as they were devoted to bring honor to the branch and to put an end to this senseless violence. Commander Yuno would thus begin a decade of strategy that would ultimately bring an end to the “War of the Damned.” If not but for his hard work and wisdom, the Military Police would not be where it is today.
The awaited restoration for Humanity
As the battle between Humanity finally began to settle, the “War of the Damned” came to an end as King Florian I Fritz gathered his council and set forth onto the final front of battle with his soldiers alongside him. Drawing his sword, he demanded those who wished to continue to tear down humanity to submit to him as they prepared to enter the true Restoration of Humanity. With the rebellious forces refusing to stand down, Florian and his detachment of soldiers swung their swords and swiftly got to work as many bodies began to fall to the King’s powerful blade.
All fighting came to an end as it’s said that a horrible storm engulfed the battlefield, with lightning raining down on those who rebelled. Historic accounts of the true events on this day are conflicted, however one thing is certain - balance was finally restored after this fateful day. One soldier recounted that it was as if God himself aided King Florian in this fight - a battle won through Holy Intervention. The beginning of a new era.
