Overview

The arc follows the introduction of the Land of Tea’s dominant superpower, Avalon, creating an outpost in the Land of Fire. In the wake of their arrival, they are forced to fight off rebellious factions and Shinobi alike. In this arc lies unknown new powers, fierce battle, and dark secrets.

Konoha Shinobi are alerted to a battle taking place within their borders. They quickly set off to discover the origin of the disturbance. They came across a battle between two groups with countless corpses and blood filled water in the wilderness. The Shinobi decide to help the one of the groups and defeat their adversaries.

Following the battle, the leader of the group the Shinobi helped took off his helmet. He revealed himself to be Captain Reinhardt of the country of Avalon. He revealed he was fighting a rebellious faction known as Jinsei. Before the Shinobi could ask much more he left with his remaining forces.

Long Silence Broken

After weeks of no contact, another battle occurred. This time the Shinobi came immediately to aid Avalon. They found one man beating up on Jinsei members. He eventually vanquished all of them with the help of the shinobi. When battle was finished, the Shinobi looked around and saw mounds of Jinsei corpses. They found out despite losing his arm in the battle, the man killed over 35 Jinsei members alone. He revealed his name to be Jin Ryoba. Sensing he would leave once again, Carter Uchiha asked him to send a message to the capital to allow the Shinobi in to the settlement they had set up. He accepted and left the bloody battlefield behind.

Peace Talks With Jinsei

Konohagakure Shinobi somehow received a message in their minds. He was told to approach the area where Carter Uchiha’s blade had been forged. They quickly found them and asked them what they wanted. A man stood there and said his name was Inaki Tome of Jinsei. He said he wanted a neutrality pact with Konoha. The Shinobi were reluctant to agree to a pact of neutrality. The Shinobi asked to fight some of his men. Inaki agreed, and any Jinsei member who lost was executed. After the fights, the Shinobi decided to come to an agreement to remain neutral in the war. As they left, they noticed the bodies of the Jinsei disappear, perhaps another illusion from Inaki’s technique.

The Shinobi continued to find Jinsei members running about. They eventually found out they were scouting the settlement of Avalon in the Land of Fire. The Shinobi find out the Jinsei members slaughtered a nearby rogue settlement, but don’t make too much of a fuss about it. Afterward they are called to a mountain where Kenzo Ryoba, brother of Jin Ryoba, waits. He informs them they will be allowed into Avalon’s outpost for a small festival being held for the Queen’s arrival.

Queen Lamora’s Arrival

The Shinobi attended a festival held in the queen, Hana Lamora IV’s, honor. They talk with the citizens of the outpost before the queen arrives. When she arrives she greets Vane Senju and his Shinobi. A while afterwards, a group of Jinsei attack the outpost, but they are quickly defeated by Jin Ryoba and Captain Reinhardt. The Shinobi find out Jin had somehow regrown his arm, but they didn’t have much time to question it before they had to leave due to the festival ending.

Natural Chakra

After completing a few missions for Avalon involving hunting down Jinsei, thereby breaking the neutrality agreement, the Shinobi begin to see something in the sky. As the Shinobi venture out to take a closer look, they see that a large chunk of the land had gone into the sky. A bright light shines from the island. They quickly try to find a way onto the land, but they can’t think of anything. A Shinobi comes up with the idea of using earth style due to the gravitational effects of the area. His idea works and it provides a pathway for the Shinobi. They are able to get on the landmass and find a Jinsei operative. He explains this is the work of a being known as Artoria. He says she was trapped by Avalon and is now using chakra beacons to lash out. They decide to shut off the chakra beacons in order to restore the gravity to its usual state. The Shinobi are eventually able to get the land back to the ground, but they are no closer to finding the truth.

Inaki’s Return

After months of no contact, the Shinobi venture into Avalon’s outpost, but they find no one there except Jinsei members. They explain they’re searching for Inaki, who had said he was going to find his old bunker hidden in the land. They eventually find him, but he is unresponsive. After constant attempts, Vane Senju and Ahjin Hyuga feel a surge of chakra rub through them and see a flashback of Inaki and Jin Ryoba talking. Inaki expresses his problems with Avalon, but Jin rejects his plans. The two begin to fight before the memory ends. Inaki awakens and forces the Shinobi to leave, only after they steal a few of the scrolls and books from him.

Jinsei’s End

Konoha is called to the now abandoned outpost of Avalon one day. They arrive to find a man in white armor. He shows them the remaining members of Jinsei have been captured, except Inaki. He says the queen decided to finally crush this small insurrection. He explained it only took so long due to other pressing matters. The Shinobi attempt to save the prisoners, but something odd happens. Vane Senju feels something dark take a hold of him. He begins executing the prisoners one by one. The Shinobi are helpless to stop him. Eventually, all of the prisoners are dead. The man tells them this has definitely soured relations somewhat. He explains maybe the queen will pity them and let them enter the Land of Tea anyway. Without another word, he vanished, thus ending the Avalon Outpost Arc.

The true power of natural chakra. Only something that had left behind its humanity could accomplish such a feat.
