The Stationary Guard

The Stationary Guard, also known as The Garrison is one of the three main branches within the military. Initially led by Commander Reil Leonhart. They bear the weight of protecting and maintaining the three walls. They are trained for all tasks from interior and exterior, allowing their soldiers to gain valuable a wide range of experience and skills. Tasks such as dealing with civilian matters to guarding the gate from Titans entering are done by the Stationary Guard. The Stationary Guard mans the cannons mounted on the Walls that are often used for long-range Titan defense. They must also deal with civilian evacuations and have emergency plans for dealing with scenarios for when the Walls are breached to make sure the citizens are evacuated safely. Their current commander is Pariston J. Braun.

Life in the Garrison Regiment can be a bit less adventurous compared to the Survey Corps, but it's not without its challenges. Members of the Garrison are responsible for patrolling the walls, maintaining order within the cities, and dealing with any Titan threats that breach the defenses. It's a mix of routine tasks and sudden bursts of action when Titans attacks. They are also constantly trained to improve their Titan killing skills and dealing with Human threats.

The Frontline Engagement Unit [FEU] acts as SG's primary exterior unit, and our main titan engagers. They work alongside SL in clearing titan threats, and are SG's primary individuals for all exterior operations. They also work alongside SL in reclaiming MIA soldiers. They're the front of SG's formation in wall defenses.

Alpha and Cobra are the two main Squadron in FEU. Tasked with defending the walls from the titans these Squads are positions in two direction. Alpha will handle W/NW side of the walls while Cobra handle's E/NE side of the wall.

SRS is the one and only sub-squad for FEU. Within this sub-squad, SRS Members excel in locating and rescuing comrades who become lost. They possess unparalleled expertise in conducting search and rescue operations under any circumstances and in any location. The sub-squad's particular strength lies in searching for fellow team members beyond the wall.

The Interior Cover Unit (ICU) is a specialized squadron focused on handling and mitigating threats within the confines of secured perimeters. Collaborating closely with Military Police and various other branches concerned with interior missions, ICU operates as an essential component in ensuring the safety and security of enclosed spaces.

Currently, the ICU comprises a distinct unit, the primary one being “Echo.” The Echo squad is primarily responsible for managing interactions with civilians, aiding in evacuation procedures during crises, and handling diverse interior tasks crucial for maintaining order and safety within the designated area.

A sub-division within ICU, known as RED, functions specifically for research and development related to the lore. RED collaborates closely with the Research Team (RT) to create blueprints, technologies, and other innovations that hold significance for humanity’s well-being and advancement. Their focus remains on exploring new possibilities and implementing innovative solutions for various challenges within enclosed environments.

Moreover, there exists a specialized elite sub-division within ICU “FCRS.” The FCRS members, regarded as a select group within the ICU, collaborate with VG and undertake exclusive missions and confidential tasks. Membership in FCRS is by invitation only or by passing a stringent selection process requiring a GSA, underscoring the highly confidential and critical nature of their responsibilities.

Vanguard [VG] is the Elite Squad of the Stationary Guard. These individuals are the best of the best in the branch, and specialize in both titan and interior combat. This unit is not open to tryouts like the ones above, and all soldiers are handpicked, and the events that take place inside this unit are classified.
