The Bogeyman of the Sand
##Following the discovery of the Sand Village Clan Sites, the shinobi discover a hidden area within their village. A small base within the walls of the village with documents detailing the shinobi and villagers as they go about their daily habits… within the arc, the shinobi dig further into this mysterious group, along with two other groups that reside within the Land of Wind.
The Drybone Colony
The Sand Shinobi make contact with a new group within the Land of Wind. They wear masks made of animal bone and hideout within a small clearing in the lands desert. They meet and offer the clan assistance and learn about attacks on their people during the night, sightings of masked men attacking and kidnapping their villagers. As the shinobi leave their camp, the Kazekage disappears, falling through the sand like water, only to appear moments later, claiming a man had brought him down there with an offer. The Silversand wished to meet.
The Silversand Meeting
Hidden within the sandstone canyons, the shinobi were instructed to arrive at a location within the desert, where they were met and escorted by a Silversand scout. The Silversand brought them within a hidden base of operation where a representative of the Silversand Leader spoke to them about an alliance. The Silversands offered the shinobi a chance to research with them, and offered territories within and outside the Land of Wind if they helped them achieve their goal. However, they requested help in wiping out every other clan residing with the Land of Wind, prompting the Kazekage and HR's of Sand to leave only considering the offer. Their choice in this would define their relations with the Silversand, and whether they would oppose them in their plans.
Helping the Drybone Colony
In the coming weeks, the shinobi made their choice, assisting the Drybone Colony in growing their camp. This decision marked the Shinobi as an enemy of the Silversand, prompting their leader to come out of hiding and attack them. Their leader was a man known as Locust a cruel man that sought to dominate the Land of Wind, and control its inhabitants completely. Many more skirmishes occured between the Sand Village and the Silversand, seeing their Kekkei Genkai as one that allowed them to shift through sand and sandstone like water, making them perfect spies.
The Fall of the Spicehounds
A path untaken, the Spicehounds excelled in medicine and cooking, however, with the missions from the Drybone Colony and attacks from the Silversand, the Spicehounds were soon wiped out by the Silversand. Their village was found by shinobi in ruins, with a massive trap set that lured scorpions to attack the shinobi as they investigated the destroyed town.
Raiding the Silversand Bases
After working with the Drybone Colony enough, a method to track down the Silversand bases was found, leading to three distinct raids on the Silversands' bases of operation. Raiding the 2nd bases proved difficult as the Leader of the Silversand made an appearance, filling the shinobi in on his plans to expand past the Land of Wind once he claimed it. He gave the shinobi one last chance to join his cause, but it was rightfully declined.
Locust
Word reached the shinobi about Locust preparing something within the desert just outside the Land of Wind, prompting the Sand Village and Drybone Colony to prepare for battle. The shinobi arrived at a massive pillar in the sand, pulsing with power as the last remaining Silversand gathered around it. Locust spoke of his true plans, hoping to employ the Sand Village as pawns to spread sand all throughout the shinobi world, but now recognizing the threat the Shinobi presented. A war between the two parties broke out, and ended only once Locust had fallen atop the great sandstone pillar.
However…
As Locust died, his body turned to sand, mixing with the grains beneath their feet. Many lives were lost in the battle, including the leader of the Drybone Colony. The shinobi returned home however, and celebrated their victory. The Drybone Colonys new leader, Horus Drybone, thanked the shinobi for their help, and disappeared with his colony in the following week.
