Origin
Kato Yuki was born in 9 BVE, a refugee cut off from his homeland and unaware of his origins. Despite this, he quickly proved to be a skilled shinobi during the reign of Carter Uchiha. Kato had two brothers, Asda and Raiden, with whom he maintained a close bond. However, he was a troubled child, often discouraging and neglecting those around him. He felt disconnected from the natural world, fixated solely on his own interests—a lost soul, looking for a path forward. Witnessing the death of Lord First Hokage, Vane Senju, caused grief unknown to others within Kato. Attainting the rank of jonin, off merely being saved.
Viewpoint
Years passed, and Kato refrained from interfering in village relations, considering the idea absurd. However, he seized opportunities whenever they arose when it was for his own gain. As the last surviving Yuki with Black Ice, Kato was summoned to assist Sunagakure, where he would meet a man who would profoundly change his perspective on the world, he had long constrained.
Upon entering the halls of Sunagakure, Kato encountered a man with long white hair named Shaka. Shaka possessed untold proficiencies, a foreigner with wisdom past his years. He approached Kato, sensing his inner turmoil. For reasons Kato couldn’t explain, he felt a trust in this stranger. During their meeting, Shaka advised him, “Be careful of where you go and what you see, you never know what may follow.”. Those words would become a catalyst for change in Kato’s life, slowly beginning to ponder what it meant to be a shinobi. He slowly began to learn from Shaka, listening to the wise mans words, and taking in as much information as he could. For the first time Kato found someone to talk to other than Ringu.
A New Name
As Kato grew, his viewpoints did as well. Realizing the falsity of his ways, he made his own idealistic change. Kato was ready to give it all up—his false ideals, his false idols, his misguided mindset. In that moment of transformation, Y'mir was born. Y'mir Yuki embodied the change Kato embraced; they were not two separate individuals but two distinct ideals. Y'mir chose a path of peace, learning from Shaka about himself and the world around him. He managed to seal away his black ice, becoming the first in the known shinobi world to achieve this feat. He would further go on to train himself, and many others. Shaka would help him craft a weapon, to help guide not only himself but others.
A traveler, a seeker, a guide—Y'mir roamed far and wide, from the towering dunes to the unforgiving seas, from the highest mountains to the lush trees. After spending so much time in conflict, he was determined to broaden his perspective on life. Nobody could tell Y'mir where to go, or who to be. As each place he visited grew his understanding of the world, it also grew his understanding of self. But there was a void within him, one he couldn’t fill with his past actions. As his sense of harmony wavered, he made his final stop at the Land of Tea.
Path of a Seeker
An eerie feeling hung in the air as Y'mir pressed onward through the barren desert. After days of trekking through the sands, he finally reached the cave marking the border between Avalon and the Western Land of Winds. As he crossed the halfway point, a voice echoed in his mind: “There is no take without a give.” Frightened yet determined, Y'mir continued until he reached his destination—Avalon.
In the 2 years that followed, Y'mir was scarcely by people within the Land of Tea, not staying in one location for too long. He began to see the Land of Tea as a second home and a place for growth. The natural beauty of the land captivated him, but his restless spirit kept him from staying in one place for too long. Each place he visited, a tale of a Path Finder was born, and echoed throughout Avalon. Finding peace in virtue, he began to see the world clearly. Although the information is diluded to even Y'mir, his mentality even changed from this journey, a place he had grown more than any other. With this growth, he began his return to Konoha. A large spear finally revealed in hand and prepared for wherever his path took him, Y'mir was home.
The 6th Hokage
Upon returning home, Y'mir polished his Shinobi Ideals. He was deeply loyal to his birthplace, and even more to its people that raised him. He would finally feel the responsibility, those who raised him once felt. After vouching for Judar Namikaze, he was determined to return the favor. As a member of a non-native Leaf clan, a killer and a lost boy—someone without a clear path. Yet he had finally become more than just a lost boy; he had fought for what he sought and found his way and becam, The Path Finder. Y'mir Yuki was crowned the 6th Hokage, and no one objected. And at last, his path was found. His path, as the Hokage.
Building on Judar's vision for the village, Y'mir set about reconstructing it, establishing the largest Jonin military in mainland history, with over 25 Jonin at its peak. He dedicated himself to helping other villages and protecting those he could, all while safeguarding his own. Y'mir found happiness, where there is said to be only war. A testament, to an ambiguous path.
