Captain Jado Felis

Overview

Operating under the Separatists as a Captain, Jado Felis serves as a covert intelligence asset who specializes in infiltration, counterintelligence, and black-market logistics.

He is currently tasked with undermining the Galactic Republic through indirect warfare, disrupting supply chains, infiltrating Republic controlled worlds, and extracting sensitive intelligence from both military and political targets. His operations frequently take place in contested systems and urban underworlds, where he leverages criminal networks, slicers and informants to maintain an constant flow of information to the Separatist cause.

Early Life

Born on the planet of Tatooine, at the far edges of Mos Entha, Jado grew up in a poor family that struggled to make ends meet, especially with the Hutt clan operating in the town and enforcing their heavy taxes. Scavenging scraps from any crashed freighters, doing small jobs for smugglers and dodging tax collectors became the norm for Jado. The constant flow of gangsters, bounty hunters, and shady merchants from many sectors passing through Mos Entha taught that Jado needed to survive in this harsh galaxy. He learned how to bargain, lie, pick locks, and how to disappear completely even when trouble came for him. 

By his late teens, Jado had befriended a Lieutenant of a smaller lesser known criminal gang whose name was “Gar Rendas”. Gar had seen great potential in Jado after he successfully stole a crate of volatile Rhydonium, and surprised that Jado didn’t blow up an entire block he decided to take Jado under his wing. Jado, now under Gar’s strict and rough mentorship, taught him the arts of stealth, infiltration, espionage and leadership. He learned how to blend in crowds, read people’s intentions, and extract information. 

Unfortunately during a botched spice run, Gar Rendas was betrayed and executed by his own gang. Jado barely escaped with his life. This experience changed Jado’s view on everything, he realized that no matter how skilled, or great he became, working under someone else’s banner would eventually get him killed. So he decided to leave Tatooine and work on his own as a freelance infiltrator, taking dangerous jobs across the Outer Rim, taking jobs such as slicing databases, eliminating rival syndicates or slipping past security. 

Later on, Jado took on a contract, where he was to deliver recovered republic equipment to the CIS. Operating deep within the lower levels of Coruscant, Jado had organized a network of desperate civilians and scavengers, and had them recover small quantities of Republic weaponry to avoid detection from Republic logistics. Jado handled all the smuggling routes and shifted drop points to stay clear of any Republic patrols. When the Coruscant Guard started closing in on the operation, Jado orchestrated a clean getaway, wiping any slicer logs and disappearing before CG could arrive. Despite several arrests on this matter, the Republic never uncovered Jado's involvement. The recovered equipment also ultimately made it to the Separatists hands, strengthening their army. 

Impressed by Jado’s skills and his disgust to Republic corruption, which had reminded him of the Hutts back home, the CIS offered him commission. Jado decided to accept this offer but not because of loyalty and his agreement to the Separatist cause, but because it provided Jado the resources and protection from old enemies, and to eliminate anyone who wanted to prey on the weak. Showcasing his expertise in stealth and espionage, Jado became invaluable to the Separatists. He quickly rose through the ranks of CIS ultimately becoming a Captain in the CIS Army.

Abilities

Jado is deeply paranoid and quick to anger, shaped by experiencing the betrayal of his mentor "Gar Rendas" gang that executed him. And under the belief that no matter how skilled, or great he became, working under someone else’s banner would eventually get him killed. He trusts no one and constantly expects to be betrayed or abandoned.
